We’re on the lookout for experienced Freelance writers who love storytelling with a knack for turning words into traffic. We’re on a mission to grow our author community by creating super valuable resources, and we’re looking for your help!
What You’ll Do
- Create irresistible content for our brand-new blog—ranging from “Story Structures 101” to self-publishing guides, novel writing tool roundups, and advanced AI writing resources. We’re also looking for tips on combining Sudowrite with other AI tools such as Midjourney, Suno, etc.
- Optimize articles for SEO You will receive guidance from a world-class SEO expert on how to select topics and write them for current search engine best practices.
- Collaborate with other freelance writers on content campaigns, promotions, and brand partnerships that showcase our mission to help every writer thrive.
- Engage the writing community with blog posts, how-to guides, craft articles, and other share-worthy resources (think character arcs, narrative pacing, and more!).
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and AI writing breakthroughs to keep our content fresh, relevant, and delightful.

Example Project
Imagine we’re launching a month-long series on “The Anatomy of Story Structures.” You’d:
- Research popular frameworks (Hero’s Journey, 3-Act Structure, 7-Act Structure, Dan Hamon’s Story Circle, etc.)
- Write blog posts for high-intent search terms. We intend to build out ‘topical clusters’ in waves to populate our blog. A general ‘Ultimate Guide to Story Structure’ will be supported by guides on using the Three Act Structure, Seven Act Structure, etc.
- Collaborate with Design on downloadable templates to beautify your work.
- Coordinate the rollout with Community, to get live classes up on our event calendar.
- Track performance and iterate quickly—so we can help more writers find their perfect plot arc.

About You
- You have 1–3+ years of experience in content marketing or writing (bonus if it’s in a creative or literary niche!).
- You’ve published your own writing—be it a blog, short stories, or even a novel!
- SEO is your jam—you know how to write content with <h> tags, answering user intent topics in your writing.
- You have an established record and reputation on internet publications - either through a larger publication or a personal website.
- You have a clear, engaging, and personal writing style that connects with both professional and aspiring writers.
- You’re a self-starter who can juggle multiple writing projects without dropping the ball and meet bimonthly deadlines.
- You thrive in remote environments and have significant overlap with US time zones.
- You use Sudowrite actively and know the tool inside and out!
